Bike to Work Lunchtime Cycle

On Wednesday 19th June 2013 there is the third annual Dublin City Lunchtime Cycle event for workers in and around the city of Dublin.

lunchtimecycleposterThe event is run by Dublin City Council as part of National Bike Week and last year over 2,000 people took part.

The 5km leisurely cycle, which takes in some of Dublin’s most prestigious landmarks, will begin at 12.45pm from Grand Canal Square, Docklands.

The event welcomes cyclists of all abilities and should take about 30 minutes.

On the day there will be a Cycling Village at Grand Canal Square with stands selling cycling goods and services, food and drink. There will also be numerous spot prizes on the day including for, ‘best individual fancy dress’, ‘best group fancy dress’ and ‘best dressed bike’.

The first 500 people to pre-register will receive a goodie bag and everyone who registers will be in with a chance of winning an iPad!
