Bike Friendly Cafés

There’s nothing better than taking a bike ride along to a nice café – especially when the energy you burnt off getting there makes it guilt-free too!

One of the best rewards waiting at the end of a long bike ride is lovely cup of tea or coffee and a mouth-watering cake! And in Dublin we’re blessed with some lovely bike-friendly cafés that are great destinations for a ride, particularly now we have the lighter evenings and warmer weather.

One of my particular favourites is The Cake Café, which is tucked away in a back lane parallel to Camden Street. You can get to it through Daintree Paper on Camden Street, but if you’re on you’ve ridden there you’re better off coming in from the back lane, as you’ll be able to wheel your bike in and use their on-site cycle parking.

Also rather good is the Rother Café on Fade Street, where they have a full bike workshop on site. So while you sip your coffee and nibble on a piece of cake, your bike will be taken downstairs to be fixed.

Are there any other cycle-friendly cafés that people could recommend?
