Blocks of Ice

I don’t know about you, but my feet felt like blocks of ice after my commute this morning.

It was zero degrees outside when I set off, but with the wind-chill effect it felt colder. And of course I left the house ill-prepared for the cold, and am now suffering the consequences.

It’s nice to know my employer provides shower facilities for cyclists in the office, but what I really crave right now is a hot bath! It would be amazing to be able to soak my feet, and hopefully get some feeling back!

I must also try and remember to go for a rummage in my sock drawer tonight, and dig out my thermal socks – and then also remember to put them on each morning from now on.

In fact, I just need to follow my own advice, and finally admit to myself that autumn/winter is firmly upon us.
